The cottage is available on a weekly basis with Saturday as change-over day. Electricity, heating, local calls, bed linen and towels are all included. Guests are allowed to arrive when the cleaners have finished, (usually about lunchtime), but luggage may be left earlier in the day if required. Please check out by 9:30 AM.
Refunds on cancellation:
within a week of booking if the booking is made at least 2 month in advance: full refund less any bank charges.
after a week but more than 3 months before arrival date: 90% refund
from 3 months before arrival date to 6 weeks before arrival date: 50% refund
from 6 weeks before arrival date to 2 weeks before arrival date: 25% refund
less than 2 weeks before arrival date: £ 200.00
In the winter months the cottage is available on a monthly basis, (no housing qualifications required) electricity, heating, local calls, bed linen and towels are not included then.
Jersey is the only area in Britain where green lizards occur naturally. This one was photographed near Beauport. The species is a sub-species of Lacerta viridis. Adult males are distinguished from the females by a larger head and a blue throat, the latter becoming much more prominent during the breeding season. The throat of the female is yellowish green. The breeding season takes place in April and May and at this time fierce fighting among males is not uncommon as they establish territories. Between five and twenty eggs are produced in June or July. The clutch is then hidden beneath vegetation or soil and warmed by the sun. The young emerge in September.
